Titanic WebQuest

 

Introduction

The ocean liner Titanic sunk in the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean in April of 1912. This disaster was one of the worst maritime accidents of all time. Your job is to gather facts and information about Titanic, its passengers and crew. You will document the series of events that led up to the sinking of the Titanic. You will also find out how the Titanic disaster brought about changes in maritime policy.

3. Print the 1912 Investigation worksheet. Answer the questions using the following website: titanic-online.com

4. Using the information you gathered on the worksheets, write a two to three page story from the perspective of a survivor of the Titanic tragedy. Tell who you are, how old you are, who you were travelling with, why you were on the Titanic, and what class of passenger you were. Detail your feelings during the evacuation, as you witnessed the sinking, and when you were rescued by the Carpathia. Use description.
